Author and Environmental Advocate

About the Author
I developed a passion for the environment early on in life while growing up in coastal Virginia, which is where I currently live and work.
I tend to focus my energy on the environment, sustainability, and community. Community can be anything from a group of friends, a neighborhood, or a group of people trying to reach the same goals. I think it is important for everyone to find a group of people, like-minded or not, and work together to make the world a better place.
For over 19 years I have worked in the public sector, serving as a wastewater engineer/scientist, ensuring that wastewater is treated effectively to protect the public health and waters of coastal Virginia. In 2018, I decided to try my hand at writing a children's book during my free time. In 2021 I was determined to truly pursue this new endeavor, to include finding an amazing illustrator to bring the book to life, and with quite a few failed attempts, I finally found a publisher in early 2022.

I do hope this book sheds light on the importance of conservation and reducing, or even better, improving our impact on the planet!
